The human heart is a muscular organ which pumps blood. The heart is covered by pericardial membrane. It is a size of our fist. It weighs about 360 grams. As oxygen and carbon dioxide both have to be transported by blood, heart has different chambers. The left and the right, to prevent oxygen rich blood from mixing with blood containg carbon dioxide.
